Evolution
According to Aquatic Ape Theory, humans have blubber for the same reasons hippos, dolphins, seals, walruses and whales have it. It keeps us warm and helps us float in water. We have blubber because unlike other apes, we evolved on tropical beaches. Biologically, fat is healthy but we think it's unhealthy because we're not in our natural habitat.
